About Us

The Roller Derby Coalition of Tampa Bay (RDCTB) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to growing roller derby throughout the Greater Tampa Bay area. We support both adult and youth leagues across all rule sets and track types, working to make derby more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable.

We’re more than just a sports nonprofit—we’re a grassroots movement building community through empowerment, athleticism, and fierce fun.

Our Mission

To develop the sport of roller derby and foster a strong, inclusive community rooted in teamwork, empowerment, and excitement.

Our Story

RDCTB was born out of the desire to create a stronger, more connected derby community in the Tampa Bay region. Our journey began with Sunshine City Roller Derby, one of the only banked track roller derby leagues in the Southeast. As the league grew in reach and ambition, so did our vision.

In 2024, Sunshine City Roller Derby officially became the flagship program of the Roller Derby Coalition of Tampa Bay. Today, the Coalition serves as an umbrella organization supporting local leagues, launching new programs, and advocating for roller sports infrastructure throughout the area.
